Girls' Lodge Weekend & Uncle Mike's Visit

What can I say, I have a fabulous brother-in-law.  Mike flew all the way out to KC from Minnesota to watch the kids while Mark had a gig so that I could go out for a girls' weekend away.  Nice, huh?  The kids didn't know about the visit, so it was all a big surprise when he showed up at their school pick-ups.  They were beyond thrilled to see him and to have a whole day of Uncle Mike to themselves.
Meanwhile, at Cedar Crest Lodge...
Kindergarten moms of girls gathered for A Night Away, Come And Play, Christy's amazing get-away idea.  It was a slumber party of sorts where we exchanged holiday gifts, side-splitting laughs, and stories late into the night.  And the full body massages, facials and food were divine!  So was the room I split with Heidi--lovely!
And did I mention musical numbers (thank you Stacey!)?  I believe our theme song sums it up quite nicely.

This was a real nice clambake,
We're mighty glad we came.
The vittles we et
Were good, you bet,
The company was the same.
Our hearts are warm, our bellies are full,
And we are feeling prime.
This was a real nice clambake,
And we all had a real good time.
(Can you tell we had a wee bit of fun?)
Yep, a wonderful weekend all around!  Thank you, Uncle Mike!
